Archpoint Partners announced today that it acted as sole advisor to AppCentral in its acquisition by Good Technology, a transaction that is expected to help Good Technology increase mobile worker productivity while protecting data and applications on today’s popular mobile devices. AppCentral is a privately-held innovator in Mobile Application Management (MAM) and application ‘wrapping’ technology. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The AppCentral/Good transaction continues ArchPoint’s momentum as a leading advisor to market-defining companies in the mobile and security sectors. Other mobile and security sector transactions advised by ArchPoint include that sale of Odyssey Software to Symantec, the sale of Airwide Systems to Mavenir and the sale of Trust Digital to McAfee (Intel).
AppCentral products allow enterprises to easily distribute, manage, and secure mobile enterprise applications. The transaction will extend the capabilities of the Good Dynamics Platform with AppCentral’s AppGuardian™ application “wrapping” and AppCentral® Mobile Application Management solutions. AppCentral was founded in 2007 and backed by BlueRun Ventures.
Richard Greene, CEO of AppCentral said, “Dan Williams and his Archpoint team bring immense knowledge of the market, great relationships at the highest levels with key buyers, and an understanding of what those players are looking for in their ‘build, buy, partner’ decision making. Combine this with a strategic plan and process in which each step is exacting, and the word ‘advisor’ then takes on a whole new meaning. Dan and his team were able to secure AppCentral the best possible outcome based upon the tight parameters we imposed upon them.“
